“A funny thing happened on the way to the Space Shuttle launch… ” Yep, as a feller or gal might imagine we have a friend and cousin who worked on the space shuttle program. Cousin Patty from Cincinatti visited with us about her time as a quality engineer for that batch of flying machines, and she shares her experiences with us. Patti was a California girl for most of her life, lived in the desert near the legendary Coachella Valley. We hear about citrus, and gila monsters; golf resorts, the best airports and how a longhorn sheep snorts when they come down in the middle of the Bob Hope Classic. Join us as Patty tells us how dates DO grow on trees … but not the kind you have to meet someone’s Mom and Dad over. All this, the latest on Rock the Equinox, How to Grease Your Flamethrower without shutting it down, and a test on MadMan’s memory about the International Space Station on tonight’s Dr. Jeffrey and the MadMan ! We Be DJAMMIN’ !! = Doc AND MadMan ~ !

When does one plus 1 plus uno equal 43? When it’s the ages of our musical guests, the Destination ! Doc and the MadMan eagerly welcomed Chase Prince, Isaac Williams and Michael McCormick back for an encore visit to the show. Since their last appearance on DJMM, the trio have become more polished, confident and broader in their musical repertoire, boasting an unknown number of songs and two solid set lists ! January 19’s episode brings Destination’s version of some Tom Petty, Cody Canada and others, numbering five in all. These young men are on their way up, and will be well on the road to success – once any of them gets old enough to get a driver’s license ! Tune into Dr. Jeffrey and the MadMan and enjoy the banter, a dose of Star Wars and Dukes of Hazzard trivia and just some good young people making good music. Catch it, but don’t drop it – it’s HOT ! – DJAMM !

Pizza, please-ahhh ! Whatever you call it; college round steak, ‘za, pizza pie, or just dinner, pizza is one of everyone’s favorite dishes. Madman’s craving for the round cheese pies we all cave toward occasionally led to an interesting quest for the history of pizza and a trip to the Total Express, a local pizza favorite stop. January 8 is the birthday of The King himself, and if you don’t who that is, then you REALLY really need to listen to this week’s episode of DJMM. Donuts, Amazon and eBay shopping and selling are just a few of the deep and powerful subjects this worldly pair examine closely. Tune in, turn on and add parmesan. We’re worth another slice ! It’s Dr. Jeffrey and the Madman with extra cheese ! – DJMM

Consider if you will, a young band with a great mindset, heads square on their shoulders, squeaky clean, friendly and hard working. Now consider the fact that they’re home grown, talented and own a sound like no other you’ve ever heard in any genre of music. Now… Consider the Raven is the name. Trevor McBane, Kelsey Shelton, Kyle Shelton and Levi “Fiddler” Mason visited with Doc and the MadMan tonight. Back home for a short break after their first tour with BIG name Christian band, Cleansed by Fire, CTR has a new look, a fresh name and the same great sound that launched their burgeoning success when they called themselves The Kingdom. It only required the tiniest bit of urging to get them to sing a few of their original tunes for us, plus an old time honored favorite. Christians by nature, theme and heart, their cross over appeal is certain to win fans from every corner of the popular music charts. Tune in and turn on to these brilliantly talented young people on their third visit to DJAMM Studios. We be DJAMMin’ tonite! – DJ and MM. Peace IN!!!

The Devil You Adore Shares Past, Present and Future Fun with DJAMM.

Hard working. Trustworthy. Moralistic. Talented. Four words that aren’t always used together to describe one person, let alone a group of them. But, The Devil You Adore isn’t just any old group. No way.

During their second appearance on DJAMM show tonight. Dizzy D. B.A. Barraw and Travesty gave listeners a good glimpse into that band’s depth of character. Don’t let the name fool you. These folks have a work ethic and sense of humanity that extends far past so-called humanitarians. The name only refers to everyone’s favorite vice; food, TV, video, clothes, work – we all have one. These folks are no more ‘devil oriented’ than chocolate cake or boiled egg halves at Thanksgiving.
Lead singer Dizz tells us about her earliest influences, her favorite parts about being in a band, and why she chose this group of dudes to sing with; dudes who are all much older than her 19 years. It’s an interesting and compelling tale
DYA tells us about their performances at this year’s Rocklahoma and the people responsible for making all that happen. They also do a shout out to special people who have helped them along the way, including promoters, venues and just plain ol’ good people. People much like they are.
We also take time to thank our growing list of sponsors for the upcoming Rock the Equinox concert at Lake John Wells on August 27. Come out from under your rock and rock with US on that day! Go to drjeffreyandthemadman.com to see details and find out where you can get your tickets.
This is one for the books and the bookers folks ! Hear and meet the band partially responsible for the Okie Tusk genre, and what their plans are for the future. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn what they’ve been up to, and what they have up their rock and roll sleeves.
Peace-In, gentle listeners. Rock out with your… socks out.

DJMM 8-4-2016 Gracie Murrell Special

DJMM
DJMM 8-4-2016 Gracie Murrell Special
/
This podcast is a special one, featuring a special gal – Stigler’s own Gracie Murrell ! Doc and MadMan pretty much devoted the entire hour to Gracie and her unique sweet-and-special voice. What a personality. Gracie’s confidence and stage presence comes through strong and pure, much like her renditions of favorite songs such as Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”. She tells DJMM about what’s been going on in her exciting world, including trips to Nashville, performances in Angel Fire and Branson, and exciting people she’s met all along the way. Much like many of the young performers who’ve come on the show, Gracie is well on her way to much greater things. Well mannered, funny, smart and squarely situated emotionally, this young woman will set you, gentle listener, back on your heels and in your most comfy “listening chair.”
Take the time to tune in and hear the latest developments taking place for this lovely and talented young woman. You’ll be proud someday (soon!) to say that you remember her from her early days on Dr. Jeffrey and the MadMan. Tune in or miss out ! Peace-In ! – DJ and MM
