Whisperin’ Dr. Jeffrey croaks out a favorite by Roger Miller on this week’s DJAMM, while MattMadMayo eats up the Martin up front ! We talk about our illustrious President Zuckerberg and his minions as they face the inquisitors in D.C. Is it evil at its greatest, or just a new and supposedly better business model? At any rate, the lawmakers up there this week are certainly Corn-fusticated about Markie Z’s intent, his direction and just what the heck it is he is doing. MadMan and his sidekick also talk bout the continuing school funding saga, local education bond issues and… well… packrats, alley cats and raccoons. This podcast is a special one, featuring a special gal – Stigler’s own Gracie Murrell ! Doc and MadMan pretty much devoted the entire hour to Gracie and her unique sweet-and-special voice. What a personality. Gracie’s confidence and stage presence comes through strong and pure, much like her renditions of favorite songs such as Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”. She tells DJMM about what’s been going on in her exciting world, including trips to Nashville, performances in Angel Fire and Branson, and exciting people she’s met all along the way. Much like many of the young performers who’ve come on the show, Gracie is well on her way to much greater things. Well mannered, funny, smart and squarely situated emotionally, this young woman will set you, gentle listener, back on your heels and in your most comfy “listening chair.”

“So, Doc, Madman; how did you guys spend your Saturday?” Well, let’s see, we went to the nicest city park in Eastern Oklahoma, listened to some great music, talked to some exciting and informative people about wonderful things happening for ALL of us, and had a great cheeseburger to boot !
That’s right. MadMan and Doc spent the day at Roye Park in Stigler where the organization Partnering for the Park hosted a fundraiser day with games, LIVE music from great bands and capped it off with a golfball drop where dozens of prizes were given away. Those things alone were just, well, pretty darn cool.
But that wasn’t all of it. We caught Stigler’s City Manager Bobby Mouser as he was buzzing from task to turn and quizzed him about the exciting developments taking place in the City of Stigler, not the least of which is the construction of a new hospital ! Yep, it’s in the works and word from Bob is that if the stars align, we hope to turn the first shovel full of dirt by this fall ! WOW !
Hang in there, it gets better.
As DJAMM was getting ready for the show, they looked up to see none other than the members of The Kingdom strolling by ! On a last minute booking, this dynamic and fresh faced group of uber-talented prodigies agreed to come to the Partnering for the Park event and play their own brand of Southern Spiritual Rock and Oklahoma Tusk for the good folks there! What a day ! They played after Bob Martin and the Day Job Quitters and right before the delightful Dante Miller, an amazing up and coming talent on the Oklahoma music scene; and Stress on the Rich, a staple in West Ark and Eastern Oklahoma, As if THAT much more wasn’t enough, they came by the podcast booth and shared their plans to hit the road with a Billboard charting band for almost two months this fall !

We’re not even gonna ask if you’re ready for this,.. because WE’RE not ! Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tony Thomas and Hollywood Rocker Katya gave us the interview of the year tonight, with special insight to his life with George Clinton, playing with Prince at the legend’s Paisley Park studios in Minnesota, the amazing tales go on and on. THEN Katya herself nails us with a promise to drop a HOT new single on DJAMM podcast this summer. PLUS more news that so big, we don’t dare mention it ! You GOTTA tune in to this one, friends and neighbors … it’s just too hot to handle !

BUT WAIT! Following that was a STUNNING performance by grassroots Oklahoma country artist Dusty McDaniel who hit us with a new original tune ! If that’s not enough, he nailed us with some spot on rock and country covers that would make a stone statue weep ! We’re so excited… we just can’t hide it !
